France hosts for the first time the Women’s World Cup rugby, from 1 to 17 August, in Marcoussis (Essonne). An event broadcast worldwide and for which the France team has already won two victories in two matches.

Yesterday, on the lawn of Marcoussis, the teammates Laetitia Salles scored nine tries to finally impose 55-3 facing South Africa. At halftime, victory was already acquired since France led 36-3.

After their success last Friday against Wales (26-0), the XV of France who made the Grand Slam tournament in the last Six Nations is the head of Pool C with 10 points, ahead of the El Tri Australia (8 points) they compete Saturday evening.

In the game, first place in the group, synonymous with qualification for the semi-finals will be played Wednesday, September 13 at the Jean Bouin stadium in Paris, the cave of the French stage. Enough to offer good visibility to women’s rugby is still amateur in France.
