Regarded by his elders as one of the best singers of the new generation of Musica Popular Brasileira (Brazilian Popular Music or MPB) MariaGadú, whose real name Mayra Correa Aygadoux, is an artist of the Brazilian scene. Born in São Paulo in 1986, the young woman immersed in music since his childhood. She knows how to play the electric and acoustic guitar, and composes herself her own songs. After several performances in bars in Rio, she took the famous song Ne me quitte pas” by Jacques Brel. His interpretation of this tube is used in a television mini-series dedicated to the famous Brazilian singer Maysa Matarazzo. It attracts the curiosity of the public as well as famous artists such as Milton Nascimento and Caetano Veloso. It is with his own composition, Shimbalaie” (meaning “I feel happy”) she knows the great success in 2009. The artist is currently on a world tour. It was on June 22 at the Cité de la Musique in Paris, and then give a concert on June 28 at the Barbican Centre in London.
